It's Kenton's favorite arranger Pete Rugolo, who studied under the well-known french contemporary music composer Darius Milhaud, that was at the initiative of the creation of that Kenton's band' all-new 'Progressive Sound'.

'Progressive Jazz' in a literal sense, brought more power, more emphasis and sophistication to broader chords.
More tones and interesting shades actually.
Kenton's big band' popularity was at its peak by the end of the 1940's...

Some little crackling.

The edges and the corners are used.
