As soon as the early 1960s, Urbaniak developped an out standing violectra technique, as well as his contemporary peers Jean-Luc Ponty and Elek Bacsik.
He was actually one of the first famous jazz violinists to play it.
Likewise his approach to the instrument still consists in bettering the possibilities it offers.
