Kind of Cai celebrates Miles Davis' Kind of blue's 50th anniversary with a revised flamenco version of this mythical album that brought together Davis with John Coltrane, Cannonball Adderley, Bill Evans, Paul Chambers and Jimmy Cobb.
Kind of Cai highlights most of the arrangements that came out during Miles' session whilst at the same time basing its music on some of the main flamenco styles or palos: remates, llamadas, falsetas.
The band, made up of jazz and flamenco musicians, demonstrates through Miles the links that exist between Jazz and Flamenco, and stands out as a valuable contribution of Spanish music among the flow of styles blossoming in Europe.
