Orchestre National De Barbes. Celebrates 15 years!. TO CELEBRATE ITS 15 YEARS of mess, the Orchestre National de Barbès happen for a historic concert on March 18 in Algiers. This concert will be fully captured by FIP and France Inter and relayed by The Mov. WHAT ANNIVERSARY! Birth of the Orchestre National de Barbes at New Morning in 1996. Since then, this merry band, mixing North African musicians, Portuguese and French from above, below and next door, ply the scenes around the world. Of these 15 years of touring, some members will remember the concert in Central Park during the final of the World Cup in 98, other concert in the citadel of Cairo where the mufti, for the event, informed the mosque, or when the festival of Cain in the principality Grolandaise, the ball of pink in Monaco where the Grimaldi family has had the good idea to mount a bar on stage with servers for unlimited drinks or a happy moment in a giant teepee on pastures of the Jura, the Barbes Tower, moving the first concert in Algeria, Constantine. The list of memories is, of course, not exhaustive tour after 15 years and over a thousand concerts, but Oslo in Tarbes, from London to Montevideo people dance and get carried away by the combo of french touch Transmaghrébine Paris . All this energy, we find it on the live double album recorded 15 years of stage on the tour in 2011 and comprised of songs on each album of the band. This double album is a Polaroid of the orchestra after 15 years of existence: to immerse yourself in two hours of festive pop communing with the public. Bon voyage!
