Here the rhythm section is full control of the settings. Allo ! doc ! bursts out of the gate with the fire of a Jazz Messengers track, Nicoloas Scheid's tenor and Pascal Gachet's trumpet solos blasting over the fiery pace set by Bellonzi and bassist Guillaume Souriau. The title track opens with a thundering drum solo, heavy on the tom-tom and floor kettle- when Belonzi moves into a martial beat, the bass kicks in with a modified Hi-Life phrase and the band dances off. Again, the Messengers influence is strong, as the quick drop into a walking line at the end of each chorus shows.
